Job summary

The Red Hat Developer Tools team is looking for a Senior Program Marketing Manager to join us. In this role, you will design and implement excellent Red Hat Developer Program assets and communications that will attract developers to Red Hat. You’ll be in charge of program strategy, demand generation, and communications needed to attract and enable developers to easily access Red Hat offerings and services and gain an affinity for Red Hat. You’ll oversee program components including access, adoption, use, and support and internal and external communications needed to communicate the program's value. As a Senior Program Marketing Manager, you will work across multiple offerings and technologies and multiple corporate partners to enable end-to-end solutions that address developer needs. You’ll need to be comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, managing conflicts and tradeoffs, enabling cross-functional clarity, communication, and implementation through followership and accountability.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Guide customer adoption, success, and deep engagement with developer tools and services
  • Lead thinking about how to grow the Red Hat Developer Program and attract all levels and all types of developers
  • Speak with customers regularly to understand their needs and problems; carry out multiple
  • customer research components including program surveys, net satisfaction surveys, and user
  • groups
  • Perform competitive analysis and customer research to better understand how the value propositions delivered in your feature area compared to the marketplace
  • Influence management and broad feature teams to the benefit of our customers and the business
  • Ensure that the end-to-end experience is being met for your feature area
  • Engage with the community to promote Red Hat Developer tools and services via blog posts and social media and public speaking opportunities (e.g., conferences, meetups) through team and cross-organizational partnerships
  • Consistently take personal ownership of defining and guiding the creation of software workflows that customers love and that help accomplish key business goals
  • Effectively and consistently manage all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Effectively manage and communicate all risks and dependencies impacting the Red Hat Developer Program; work consistently to solve the root causes of issues

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in a technology field
  • Ability to develop and implement integrated program offerings
  • Ability to effectively communicate and guide consensus among geographically distributed, cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with agencies for strategic media planning and buying
  • Responsive with good organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated management skills, creativity, and initiative
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Willingness to travel up to 35%
