Job summary

The Red Hat Training team is looking for a Business Development Manager for our Red Hat Academy (RHA) program to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will guide the RHA program, which is our enablement program for universities and higher education institutions. Through this program, you’ll help institutions develop next generation skills in application development, application architectures, cloud, datacenter, and management solutions. As a Business Development Manager for the RHA program, you will be critical to the future success of Red Hat, as the RHA program raises awareness and helps meet the skill gap for Red Hat’s solutions portfolio.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Grow the number of RHA institutions across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region by targeting and contacting top schools across APAC; initially, this will mean focusing on India, ASEAN, and China
  • Craft and implement  programs to guide adoption of RHA once an institution becomes a RHA member
  • Craft the go-to-market (GTM) approach to build demand for RHA which will include creation and implementation of marketing initiatives in local markets
  • Develop the joint marketing approach with key partners to grow the RHA program
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to share APAC-specific issues and implement best practices

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of business development experience
  • Solid understanding of the education and academic marketplace
  • Ability to work in a high-growth market where change and ambiguity are constant
  • Ability to listen; solid written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Motivated with initiative and the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%
  • Multicultural sensitivity and awareness
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
