Job summary

The Red Hat Channel and Alliance Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Partner Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will manage and develop technical sales relationships with key system integrators (SIs), channel partners, and value-added resellers (VARs). You'll develop sales engineer, architect, and technology practice relationships to become a trusted adviser and inspire and accelerate the adoption of our innovative cloud platforms, automation, and application development and infrastructure solutions. As a Partner Solutions Architect, you will use your application development, deployment, integration and architecture expertise to guide partners’ use of our solutions and position Red Hat as the open source portfolio of choice for customer success. This role can be located in Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL or any central region metropolitan area in the U.S.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Red Hat's value proposition, specifically with our container, application development, and middleware portfolios, to key partner technical sales and architect teams; help identify and create valuable partnerships and opportunities
  • Develop and deliver technical enablement plans and solutions-oriented technical presentations with partners that are aligned with our North American (NA) go-to-market (GTM) strategy
  • Conduct workshops and demonstration of our offerings and facilitate engineering and presales contacts with the partner ecosystem
  • Encourage and establish Red Hat's offerings with a solid focus on application deployment technologies as the leading technology solutions
  • Own and meet a revenue quota; perform regular reviews and reports about the opportunities your assigned partners are working on
  • Facilitate regular communication between partners, Red Hat's business teams, and Red Hat's field sales teams

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience with full life-cycle application development, including proven architecture experience with methodologies and processes like agile, supply chain management (SCM), continuous integration (CI) and continuous development (CD), test-driven development (TDD), service-oriented architecture (SOA), manufacturing operations management (MOM), governance, high availability, scaling, distributed applications, and clustering
  • 3+ years of presales and sales engineering experience working with customers or partners
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex enterprise-focused applications, architectures, and datacenter infrastructure
  • Broad understanding of the IT application landscape in areas like enterprise resource management (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), or human capital management (HCM) across application infrastructure and cloud and how it impacts businesses
  • Motivated and able to work well as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; excellent presentation skills
  • Proven record of demonstrating and selling software technology
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Knowledge of Linux and open source offerings is a plus
  • Industry certifications are a plus
