Job summary

Red Hat's Field Marketing team is looking for an Online Marketing Specialist to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will guide digital marketing programs for broader field marketing programs linked to our global digital marketing initiatives. You'll have close partnerships with Red Hat's Program Marketing team members and Asia Pacific (APAC) marketing teams. You'll maximize awareness of Red Hat's infrastructure, cloud, and middleware solutions and be responsible for planning and carrying out targeted marketing activities using web, email, SNS, external media, owned media, and telecommunications. As an Online Marketing Specialist, you will oversee a part of Marketing Lead team's management and nurturing process for maximizing the degree to which marketing lead connects to the Sales pipeline. This is an individual contributor role reporting to Red Hat's Japan Marketing Director.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop digital marketing plan through collaboration with marketing team members in accordance with the APAC, Japan Marketing team, and Sales team strategy
  • Plan using various media and other vehicles for effective Red Hat brand, offerings, and solutions awareness and marketing lead generation connecting to the Sales pipeline
  • Carry out digital marketing tactics connecting with F2F programs (hybrid marketing) for valuable lead generation and lead nurturing
  • Deploy ready-to-implement digital marketing initiatives using various media and telecommunications
  • Perform digital metric planning and tracking for achieving Japan Marketing team’s goals aligned with APAC goals
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques, and processes

Required skills

  • Background in digital and other media marketing
  • Experience working closely with program marketing and sales teams
  • General understanding of B2B marketing and marketing lead management process and deep understanding of digital marketing methods
  • Experience working in the IT industry or IT-related marketing organization; clear understanding of emerging technologies
  • Good communicator, pragmatic, and focused on what's relevant
  • Analytical mindset with an ability to track and report on digital activities and campaign performance metrics
  • Ability to build key relationships for both internal and external key stakeholders
  • Passion and talent for marketing talent and ability to work as part of a team
  • Fluent communication skills in Japanese and business-level English
