Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Territory Account Manager to join us in Madrid, Spain. In this role, you'll be a key part of our Field Sales team and work within the southern Spain region. You'll build new relationships and expand and improve business with existing customers, as well as all aspects of the sale, including pricing negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment. As a Territory Account Manager, you will also be responsible for managing internal resources, including sales engineering support and technical support. We'll need you to be comfortable working with partner sales and services organizations as well as IT and business executives, with extensive experience developing and implementing sales plans.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Sell Red Hat solutions and services in your assigned territory
  • Meet quantitative and qualitative performance goals and set high standards for articulation and presentation of key messages and the Red Hat value proposition
  • Create strategic and tactical sales plans and guide the extended Sales team in implementing them to maximize revenue and growth
  • Meet assigned sales quotas by acquiring new customer accounts and renewing and growing existing relationships
  • Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and price quotes
  • Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals

Required skills

  • 5+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, or other technical discipline
  • Solution sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services
  • Solid understanding of complete sales cycle management, from prospecting to closing
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team while demonstrating flexibility, autonomy, and initiative
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Spanish; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience selling technical solutions including cloud, virtualization, middleware, and emerging technologies
