Job summary

The Red Hat Sales Team is looking for a Global Account Manager to join us in Farnborough, UK. In this role, you will join our global telecommunications vertical to nurture the partnership with Vodafone Group and align the Red Hat organization with the Vodafone Group globally to address Vodafone’s needs. You’ll become the leading member of a cross-functional global virtual team.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling complete Red Hat solutions to the Telco industry, specifically to the Vodafone Global Account
  • Position Red Hat at all levels of an organization, including C-level executives
  • Plan and carry out account plans and strategy sessions
  • Manage complex sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Maintain and develop new relationships within the assigned account

Required skills

  • 7+ years of experience selling within the software market with specific Telco accounts expertise
  • Outstanding track record of sales achievements in the Telco industry
  • Experience as a global account manager for Vodafone
  • Knowledge of the Telco market
  • Motivated and result-oriented with the ability to perform within a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and passion around Linux and open source technology
  • Ability to learn new concepts and new technology quickly
  • Reliable, committed, and organized with the ability to handle change easily
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking     
  • Solid organizational, negotiation, presentation, and time management skills          
  • High level of initiative with the ability to work on your own, while maintaining team role    
  • Exceptional business acumen
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally 50-75%
